4 Editors… 5 Stock Picks

Paradigm’s Publisher Matt Insley just asked an interesting question.

“If you had to pick one stock in 2026… what would it be?”

The winner is whoever picks the biggest gainer of 2026, measured from today through December 31st.

It’s part friendly competition, part accountability, and part reminder that the market doesn’t care how confident you sound.

Only results count.

Here’s what Paradigm’s editors said:

Enrique Abeyta: Voyager Technologies, Inc. (VOYG)

Voyager Technologies is a defense technology and space solutions company operating at the intersection of defense, aerospace, and national security.

It provides mission-critical solutions like missile defense systems, signals intelligence, communication technologies, and space infrastructure that serves governments and commercial clients.

The company's growth is tied to long-term government budgets and contracts, which are often protected and can lead to rapid repricing during geopolitical shifts or increased spending.

The appeal here is leverage to continued government investment in advanced aerospace and defense systems without needing to predict the broader economy.

If spending accelerates or sentiment shifts around national security priorities, VOYG has room to surprise.

Matt Insley: Rocket Lab (RKLB)

Matt’s pick is Rocket Lab, which has quietly cemented itself as the clear number two commercial space company behind SpaceX.

Space is no longer just a future concept. It’s becoming real infrastructure.

Satellites power communications, navigation, earth observation, and defense systems. All of this requires reliable, repeatable launch capability.

Rocket Lab has proven it can execute. That matters more than hype in this industry.

Launch reliability is the currency of credibility and Rocket Lab has built a track record that commercial customers and government agencies can trust.

As launch activity increases and space becomes more commercialized, Rocket Lab is positioned to benefit regardless of which downstream application wins.

You don’t need to guess whether it’s communications, imaging, or national security.

If things are going to space, they need a ride.

This is a bet on execution and scale in an industry that’s moving from experimental to operational.

Sean Ring: Highlander Silver Corp. (TSE: HSLV)

Sean is taking a different angle with Highlander Silver, a precious metals play with meaningful leverage to silver prices.

Silver has surged over the past few months and is now sitting near all-time highs.

That alone has started to pull investor attention back into the space.

Historically, silver doesn’t move in smooth, orderly trends. It tends to spend long periods doing nothing, then breaks out and stays volatile as capital rushes in.

Highlander offers exposure to that dynamic through its exploration and development assets.

This is not a defensive or low-volatility pick. It’s a higher-torque way to participate if silver remains elevated or continues to surprise to the upside.

The key here is leverage. When silver prices rise and sentiment improves, capital often flows quickly into smaller, more leveraged names.

Highlander is positioned to benefit if that pattern continues into 2026.

My Picks: Fannie Mae (FNMA) and Northern Dynasty (NAK)

I’m sticking with the two core positions already in my Million Mission portfolio.

These are asymmetric bets.

Fannie Mae is a policy-driven stock. Its valuation today reflects enormous uncertainty around government involvement and long-term outcomes.

If those uncertainties resolve favorably, the upside can be dramatic.

This is not a stock that grinds higher. It moves in jumps when sentiment or policy shifts.

Northern Dynasty is similar in spirit, but driven by headlines and regulatory outcomes.

When news breaks in its favor, the stock can move fast. When sentiment turns, it can give it back just as quickly.

These are not conservative ideas.

They’re high-volatility setups where the payoff can be multiples if the thesis plays out.

That’s exactly why they belong in my portfolio explicitly designed for asymmetric upside.

The Common Thread

These picks span defense, space, precious metals, housing finance, and natural resources.

On the surface, they couldn’t look more different.

But they share a common trait.

Each editor believes the market is mispricing something important going into 2026.

Sometimes that’s because investors are too focused on near-term noise.

Sometimes it’s because the story is uncomfortable, complicated, or politically messy.

And sometimes it’s because the opportunity hasn’t fully entered the mainstream narrative yet.

That’s usually where the best setups come from.

We’ll see how these play out over the year ahead.

But these are the stocks Paradigm editors are backing as 2026 gets underway.
