Could SpaceX Buy ASTS? + The “ELON” Mega-Merger

Thanks for sending in questions and feedback!

Every Saturday I respond to reader emails in the AskDavis@paradigmpressgroup.com inbox.

Here are my responses to this week’s emails:

Can you redefine your interest in FNMA? I’m curious what your reasoning is for owning this stock and what your expectations are for it. – Daniel

Thanks for the question, Daniel.

You can check out my reasoning for owning Fannie Mae here.

I went to the “Analysis” tab on Yahoo! Finance to find Nvidia’s earnings estimate revisions. However, I was unable to get the numbers from the tab that you reported in your Monday email. – Joe

Hi, Joe! The numbers are in the last column in the screenshot below.

Note: Nvidia’s fiscal 2028 is calendar year 2027. In my Monday article, I’m referring to calendar year for simplicity.

I hope this helps!

Can you get Ray Blanco’s take on the class action lawsuit against AST SpaceMobile (ASTS)? – Arthur

Here’s some background for people who might not be familiar:

AST SpaceMobile is being sued by a small group of investors, claiming ASTS made its financial position and competitive strength look better than they really were. They allege ASTS actually needed more money – which meant more debt and issuing more shares – while also facing tougher competition and slower customer adoption than investors were led to believe.

From Ray: “Bottom feeding law firms always do this. It's a nothingburger.

It's the standard plaintiff-firm wave after a drop. These PRs are recruiting ads looking for plaintiffs. Their dilution argument (which is the complaint) is hard to win when the raises were disclosed publicly as they happened. Furthermore, even if they were to bring a case (which I doubt) these things take years and years to resolve.”

From Davis: For more info on how these lawsuits really come about, check out this article I once wrote about the man suing Elon Musk for his large pay package.

Could SpaceX (SPCX) buy AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) at some point? – John

Funny enough, ASTS just updated the severance policy it offers executives when a change of control event happens.

Naturally, investors are speculating that a takeover deal could be in the works.

Ray Blanco agrees: “ASTS is naturally attractive to a whole lot of suitors. Look what's been happening to the rest of the sector. Lots of buyouts. I don't think (CEO) Avellan wants to sell though, and he has control.

A couple of important things happened this week. Its BlueBird 11 satellite unfurled from the most recent launch. The other two, 12 and 13 did that weeks ago. There was uncertainty that there was a problem with 11. Also, BB 14-16 have shipped to Kennedy Space Center. They go up soon. Finally, it looks like Blue Origin's launch tower is starting to go up. That means the pad repair is making progress after the explosion. Once that is done, Blue Origin’s New Glenn can start launching again, maybe by December. Those can carry 8 BBs.

Things are moving. The share price will eventually follow.”

You hinted in Friday’s article that SpaceX and Tesla could merge. Should we buy Tesla stock and wait for ticker change over to ELON? – Steve

Steve, great question regarding my Friday note: Elon’s Flying Car DELAYED.

I also wrote about the topic here: Ticker Symbol: ELON… Coming Soon.

To answer your question, no, I’m not buying Tesla right now hoping it eventually turns into an “ELON” mega-ticker.

Although I do expect Elon to eventually consolidate his companies into one, I’m still not a fan of the valuations Elon’s companies tend to get.

Plus, the structure of the deal will matter a lot in this case. The ownership split will be incredibly important.

For now, I think there are simply better opportunities elsewhere in the market where the risk/reward is clearer and the valuations are more attractive.

What's the catalyst for Bitcoin going higher? – Rodney

Rodney, you’re not going to get a fundamental Bitcoin explanation out of me. I fully understand the lack of traditional fundamentals behind this asset. There’s no cash flow, no earnings, etc.

But like it or not, Bitcoin has consistently attracted attention and buyers for the last 15 years. And more importantly, it has rebounded from every single selloff it has ever experienced.

Every crash, every drawdown, every “Bitcoin is dead” moment has been followed by a recovery.

And the current setup looks more likely to support a rebound than ever before:

  • The crypto ecosystem is larger and more mature
  • Regulation is finally taking shape instead of operating in a gray zone
  • Institutional adoption is real, with major firms treating Bitcoin as a long-term asset class

None of that gives Bitcoin fundamentals in the traditional sense. But it does create a stronger foundation of demand than we’ve ever seen before.

Do you recommend any Bitcoin or Ethereum ETFs? I'm old school and I'd prefer not to use a digital wallet. – Marcus

Thanks for the email, Marcus. If you want crypto exposure without touching a wallet, the simplest route is spot ETFs. For Bitcoin, check out IBIT (BlackRock) or FBTC (Fidelity) – both hold real Bitcoin and trade like stocks. For Ethereum, check out Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH) or VanEck Ethereum Trust (ETHV).

These aren’t perfect substitutes for holding coins directly, but they’re great for traditional investors who want to own crypto without the hassle.

Where Can I Read Previous Emails?

I constantly get questions regarding where to find previous alerts. Well, The Million Mission website is live and you can check out archived alerts here.
