Live from the World’s Largest Technology Show!

Greetings from Las Vegas!

I’m attending CES 2025 – the largest tech trade show in the world.

If you've ever wondered where all the new technologies and innovations get released, this is it.

Over the next few days, more than 150,000 attendees will pour into Las Vegas to interact with over 4,000 companies that are showcasing their newest products and services.

This isn’t just a playground for gadget enthusiasts. CES is a crystal ball for the future.

CES has a history of debuting technologies that go on to shape the world. From the VCR in the 1970s, to the Blu-ray Disc in the early 2000s, to self-driving cars just a few years ago, the show has consistently introduced groundbreaking innovations.

But as an investor I’m not just here to marvel at the flashy displays. I’m here to identify trends, spot winners, and determine which companies are positioned to lead the next wave of innovation.

CES gives us a sneak peek into sectors that could dominate the market in the years to come. Think artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles, robotics, smart home devices, and wearable health tech.

Here’s what I’m looking forward to this week:

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang to Give Keynote Speech TONIGHT

Nvidia will no doubt be the main focus of CES 2025. The chip giant is sporting a $3.5 trillion market cap, due largely to its foundational position in the ongoing AI boom.

Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, and Meta purchase Nvidia processors by the boatload, and that’s unlikely to change in the new year.

Tonight, I’ll have a front-row seat when Huang delivers his keynote address at the Mandalay Bay Arena.

I’ll be anxiously listening for insights regarding Nvidia’s Blackwell GPUs, which are used to power generative artificial intelligence processes like large language models (LLMs).

After rumors of production delays and malfunctions, these chips are expected to begin shipping in greater volume this year after first being released in late 2024.

Any good news regarding Blackwell (or any other Nvidia products for that matter) could spike the stock tomorrow morning.

[Note: Last year, NVDA stock spiked 6% on the first day of CES.]

If you’d like to tune in, the keynote will be livestreamed both on YouTube and via Nvidia’s site.

Waymo Co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana to Give Keynote Speech WEDNESDAY

Waymo, Alphabet’s autonomous vehicle subsidiary, continues to lead the charge in autonomous ride-hailing technology.

On Wednesday, Co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana will take the stage to share her vision for the future of autonomous transportation – a moment that could shape the trajectory of this fast-evolving industry.

As someone that’s bullish on Uber Technologies (UBER), keeping a close eye on Waymo is critical.

The strategies and advancements outlined by Mawakana could significantly influence Uber’s prospects, particularly in the race toward dominance in autonomous mobility.

Stay tuned later this week for a detailed breakdown of her presentation and what it could mean for the ride-hailing and tech industries.

All Eyes Are on AI

AI was all over CES 2024. While some examples of this fast-moving technology were genuinely impressive, much of it felt like empty hype.

This year, I’ll be focusing on finding clear evidence that AI is truly enhancing the products it’s embedded in, rather than just being slapped on as a buzzword or another bullet point on a spec sheet.

In addition to Nvidia and Waymo, CES 2025 is also set to showcase groundbreaking tech from 3M (MMM), Accenture (ACN), Adobe (ADBE), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Amazon.com (AMZN), Arm (ARMHF), Blink Charging (BLNK), Caterpillar (CAT), Deere (DE), Google (GOOG), IBM (IBM), Intel (INTC), Micron (MU), Microsoft (MSFT), Pinterest (PINS), Roku (ROKU), Qualcomm (QCOM), Snap (SNAP), SoundHound AI (SOUN), TikTok (BDNCE), Toyota (TM), Uber (UBER), Verizon (VZ), and Walmart (WMT).

With such a diverse lineup, this year’s event promises to reveal whether AI is living up to its promise or still chasing its potential.
