Northern Dynasty (NAK) isn’t a conventional stock, but that’s the point of my Million Mission portfolio.

It controls the Pebble Project in Alaska, home to one of the world’s largest undeveloped copper and gold deposits.

For decades, the project has been mired in politics and environmental pushback, keeping NAK depressed and speculative. But that’s also where the opportunity lies.

The big driver here is policy. President Trump has made it clear that reshoring America’s supply chains is a top priority.

The U.S. government is even taking equity stakes in critical resource projects – like MP Materials (MP) and Lithium Americas (LAC).

If that same mindset is applied to copper, a deposit as large as Pebble could suddenly move from “untouchable” to “strategic asset.”

Layer on the macro backdrop: copper demand is set to explode thanks to EVs, renewable power, and AI-driven infrastructure buildouts.

This makes NAK is a high-risk, high-reward swing.

At today’s prices, the stock trades as if Pebble never gets developed.

But any policy shift (or government backing) could unlock massive upside.

That’s why I’m taking the bet.

Position: I bought 5,000 shares at $1.11 per share. The stock is up sharply over the last few weeks. I’ll look to buy more on a pullback.

I bought a few shares of SATS stock when I learned that they made a deal that included a few billion in value of SpaceX as part of their payment. What are your thoughts as to future price improvements for SATS stock? – Don

Thanks for the email, Don. SATS may be the next stock I add to my Million Mission portfolio. I see it as one of the best publicly traded proxies for owning a piece of SpaceX.

After its recent deals, EchoStar (SATS) has a clean balance sheet, still runs an important satellite communications business, and now holds an $8.5 billion stake in SpaceX. To me, that’s like holding a lottery ticket tied to one of the most important private companies on the planet.

I’ll go a step further: I believe SpaceX could eventually become the most valuable company in the world. If that plays out, SATS shareholders get to participate in that upside. That’s why I see SATS as a stock worth holding for the long haul.

I recommend using Coinbase to buy Bitcoin. Coinbase is an easy-to-use platform that I’ve used for years. If you’d prefer not to open a new account, you can also buy a Bitcoin ETF (like IBIT) in your brokerage account.

For tax purposes, in the US crypto is generally treated similar to stocks and bonds. Speaking of Coinbase, they’ve got a great rundown on crypto taxes here.

Great question, Press. Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA) is traded over-the-counter, meaning it will not be available on every brokerage platform. I know that FNMA shares are offered on Fidelity, Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, Ally, and E-Trade.
