Smash, Smash, Smash, Smash, Smash

Let’s keep the giving season going.

Welcome to a special edition of SMASH, TRASH, or STASH.

  • SMASH the Buy Button → Strong Buy / High-Conviction Stock
  • TRASH that Stock → Hard Pass / Avoid for now
  • STASH that Stock on the Watchlist → Keep on watchlist / Not ready yet but worth tracking

Forget TRASH or STASH for now, though.

Today, we’re only talking about stocks that I think are “SMASHES” right now.

Let’s get to it.

Coinbase Global (COIN)– SMASH the Buy Button

Coinbase is one of the cleanest ways to express a bullish view on crypto without picking individual tokens.

The stock largely tracks the price of Bitcoin and the broader crypto market, but with leverage to activity levels across the entire ecosystem.

When crypto prices rise, trading volume increases. When trading volume increases, Coinbase makes more money. It’s that simple.

After a period of weak sentiment and lower activity, I think crypto rebounds from here.

Adoption is speeding up, institutional participation continues to grow, and regulatory clarity in the U.S. is gradually improving. That combination tends to bring traders back.

Coinbase also benefits from multiple revenue streams beyond spot trading, including custody, staking, and subscriptions, which helps smooth results over time.

SMASH.

SEALSQ Corp. (LAES) – SMASH the Buy Button

I’m with James Altucher and Ray Blanco on this one.

The quantum threat isn’t theoretical anymore. Governments and hackers are already copying encrypted data today, storing it, and waiting to decrypt it once quantum computers are powerful enough.

SEALSQ is building the chips and hardware designed to protect against these types of threats.

The company already has defense-focused partnerships, reported strong revenue growth, and has laid out a clear timeline for shipping quantum-safe chips.

The stock has pulled back recently. But if quantum computing continues to advance, quantum-resistant security will become mandatory.

That’s why I agree with James and Ray. This still looks early in a very big trend.

CrowdStrike Holdings (CRWD) – SMASH the Buy Button

CrowdStrike is one of the most important cybersecurity companies in the world.

As cyberattacks grow more sophisticated, CrowdStrike has become mission-critical infrastructure for large organizations.

The stock isn’t cheap. But it never has been.

CrowdStrike has almost always traded at a premium valuation because the business consistently earns it.

Management keeps executing, customers keep expanding usage, and Wall Street keeps revising earnings estimates higher.

Don’t bet against this stock. SMASH.

Barrick Mining Corp. (B) – SMASH the Buy Button

I generally recommend keeping 5–10% of a portfolio in gold as a diversifier. Barrick is one way to get that exposure.

Barrick owns a large portfolio of gold mines in some of the world’s best mining jurisdictions.

Recently, management has focused on simplifying the business and improving free cash flow rather than chasing growth.

The company sold several non-core assets, resolved uncertainty around its Mali operations, and is exploring an IPO to unlock value from its North American assets.

The stock has been a rocket lately, but I tend to agree with Jim Rickards and others who believe gold still has room to run over the longer term.

SMASH.

Rocket Lab Corp. (RKLB) – SMASH the Buy Button

Space is finally moving from hype to reality. We’re seeing real demand for satellites, communications infrastructure, and even early concepts for data centers in space.

That shift is happening because launches are getting cheaper, more reliable, and more frequent.

Rocket Lab has quietly become the clear #2 commercial space company behind SpaceX.

It’s proving itself as a highly capable and consistent launch provider for both commercial customers and U.S. national security missions.

In 2025 alone, RKLB executed roughly 10% of total U.S. launch capacity with a 100% mission success rate. That kind of reliability matters.

The stock certainly isn’t cheap. But if you’ve got a long-term time horizon I think this stock could be a major winner over the next few years.
