Thank you Davis for your article on investing larger amounts citing Warren Buffett & his mentor Mr. Graham. This brought together a very interesting point, but this scares me beyond imagination of losing it all & of the amount of investigation that would be needed to reach a comfort level to achieve this type of investment. Can you help on the ways to accomplish this? – Bo

Thanks for the email, Bo! The risk I’m taking here in The Million Mission certainly isn’t for everybody. I’ve got a higher risk tolerance than the average investor which makes this a comfortable endeavor for me. You, on the other hand, should take the amount of risk you’re comfortable taking.

While my strategy typically entails buying risky options contracts, you might choose to buy stocks instead. Also, you could scale down the size of your positions to fit your unique situation. If I invest a quarter of my portfolio into a single investment, maybe you invest an eighth of yours.

Of course, you can also just follow along The Million Mission without investing. After all, this is a free e-letter where one of my goals is to teach readers how to be better investors. I hope this helps.

I agree that Alphabet (GOOG) is cheap. Any thoughts on ChatGPT taking market share from them? – Charlie

Great question, Charlie. This is in fact the biggest risk facing Alphabet’s business. They currently earn 25% of all U.S. digital advertising dollars. If ChatGPT, Grok, etc. begin taking market share, is Alphabet’s core business in trouble?

In my article on Friday, this was one of the reasons I decided to use a 20X multiple when valuing Business #1: Alphabet’s Core Business – to conservatively account for risks. A 20X multiple is the average of the S&P 500. Alphabet is obviously no average company and therefore should probably be valued higher.

Using a conservative multiple does demonstrate just how cheap Alphabet’s stock is, however. At these levels, I’m comfortable buying the stock.

Any thoughts on Nvidia’s (NVDA) GTC event? The stock didn’t budge again! What gives?? – Jody

Great question, Jody! Nvidia’s GTC event is really engineer-focused, so historically it hasn’t moved markets too much. However, it did outline Nvidia’s product roadmap which is very important to investors.

I’ve been harping on Nvidia’s cheap valuation for a while now, and after GTC I’m sticking to it. Just give the stock some time. Investors will come around when they realize they can buy the most powerful, profitable, important AI company at this even cheaper valuation.

One of the things AI buildout is struggling with is not enough talent. The AI space fascinates me, but I am merely a bachelors in finance guy. What specific ways would I go about to equip myself to meet the requirements of one of these AI positions? – James

Thanks for the email, James! Not sure I’m the person to ever give career advice… I will say that some of the most AI-savvy people I know have no degrees or formal experience in AI. They’ve learned by using AI and by completely immersing themselves in the emerging technology.

Recently, even James Altucher encouraged readers to use AI. Start with ChatGPT and Grok. See how the technology impacts your day-to-day. Then keep digging. I hope this helps.
