Buffett… Bitcoin… and My TOP Pick

Is the Magnificent 7 still investable or played out? – Barbara

The "Magnificent 7" was never really a permanent group. It was a snapshot. Some names still deserve to be core holdings while others are looking tired.
Nvidia is still executing at an elite level, riding the AI boom better than anyone else. Alphabet and Microsoft have built defensible AI moats and are still reasonably priced. Amazon is quietly getting stronger, especially in AWS and advertising, and I’ve written about Meta being absurdly undervalued not long ago.
Apple and Tesla, on the other hand, are starting to show cracks. Growth is slowing, valuations are high, and the market's enthusiasm feels more nostalgic than forward-looking.
So is the group investable? Parts of it, yes. But don’t buy the “Magnificent 7” like it’s a sacred basket. Buy the winners and leave the laggards.

What’s one stock you’d hold for the next 10 years? – Nathaniel

I’d be comfortable holding any one of the assets in my Perfect Portfolio for the next decade. Each represents a powerful, long-term bet on major global shifts – from AI and digital platforms to autonomous mobility and decentralized finance.
But if I had to pick just one? I’d go with Nvidia (NVDA).
Nvidia is at the center of the AI revolution. Its chips power nearly every major AI model in existence. From autonomous vehicles to cloud infrastructure to generative AI tools, Nvidia is the picks-and-shovels provider of the most important technological shift of our lifetime.
And while the stock recently pulled back due to China-related headwinds, I see that as an opportunity – not a warning sign. The long-term trajectory remains intact. In fact, demand for Nvidia’s hardware and AI platforms is only accelerating.

I've only not invested in bitcoin because I'm not sure the best way to go about it. And of course not knowing the tax ramifications??? – Doug

Thanks for the email, Doug! Great questions that I can write an entire article (or 3) about.
I recommend using Coinbase to buy Bitcoin. Coinbase is an easy-to-use platform that I’ve used for years. If you’d prefer not to open a new account, you can also buy a Bitcoin ETF (like IBIT) in your brokerage account.
For tax purposes, in the US crypto is generally treated similar to stocks and bonds. Speaking of Coinbase, they’ve got a great rundown on crypto taxes here.

At what point do you cut your losses if a trade doesn't go your way? – Paul

Great question. I’m buying stocks/options on high-quality companies when they’re out of favor for various reasons. If a position initially moves against me, it will depend whether there is any company-specific news causing the stock reaction. If not, likely I’ll look to add to my position.

Today’s Big Event – Berkshire Hathaway’s Shareholder Meeting

Today is a major day for investors: the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholder Meeting is underway in Omaha.
Often called “Woodstock for Capitalists,” this event draws tens of thousands of attendees (from retail investors to Wall Street giants) all eager to hear wisdom from Warren Buffett himself.
Why does it matter? Because this isn’t just any shareholder meeting. It’s one of the most important investor gatherings in the world. Buffett and Berkshire have shaped decades of investing strategy, and every word he says is analyzed like scripture. Especially this year – Buffett is 94, Charlie Munger is gone, and questions about Berkshire’s future leadership and portfolio are top of mind.
I'll be writing a full rundown of the key takeaways in Monday’s Million Mission. Stay tuned. It could be one of the most insightful issues yet.

Important Update: The Million Mission website is live!

I’ve gotten plenty of feedback regarding where to find previous alerts. Well, The Million Mission website is finally live and you can check out archived alerts here.
